U.S. To Ban China Air Passenger Arrivals, June 16 Onward
The United States government has announced that effective June 16, all incoming passenger flights from four designated airlines based in China are banned from entry. The airlines named are Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, and Hainan Airlines. At the moment, it is not clear whether freighter operations will also be affected.
The move comes after a March ruling by Beijing stating that domestic and international carriers are restricted to operating only one flight between China and another country, and that air carriers cannot provide more service routings than they offered as of March 12.
