Closures and delays continue in Vancouver as a state of emergency is declared  

A 14-day provincial state of emergency was declared yesterday in British Columbia. This will mitigate impacts on transportation networks and movement of essential goods and supplies and support the provincewide response and recovery from the widespread damage . Evacuation orders and Highways that have been impacted by flooding and mud slides in both directions include the below.

Highway 1 – Hope Rd& Junction / Exit 90 and Exit 109 / Anne Rd.
Highway 5 – Between Hope and Merritt
Highway 3- Sunshine Valley
Highway 99- Lil Wat Pl & Seton Lake Rd.
Highway 7- Highland Blvd & Bondar Rd.

The Vancouver gateway continues to experience substantial delays and service interruptions throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley regions. Rail repairs for both CN and CP rail are ongoing but lines continue to remain closed into and out of Vancouver. CP rail has announced it will not be accepting intermodal containers destined for Vancouver at any of the CP terminals until further notice. Updates to be sent as available.
